Welcome to our site. The Ogden Area Linux Users Group (OALUG) is a GNU/Linux users group focused on using and spreading the Linux operating system. We are based in Ogden, Utah and serve the Weber and Davis counties.

As members, we use many of the different Linux distributions that are currently available, including Ubuntu, Fedora Core, Gentoo, SuSE and Slackware. We encourage new members to try a variety of Linux distributions to see which one suits them best.

Membership is free as are all the events and meetings. Meetings are held on the second Thursday and last Saturday of each month. Thursday meetings are held at the WSU Davis Campus at 7:30pm and Saturday meetings are held at the WSU Weber Campus at 9:00am.

OALUG maintains a mailing list through Google Groups. You can subscribe to the mailing list here, which will give you the ability to post messages, or you can syndicate the posts through the RSS feed here using a newsreader. Also, you can hang out in the #oalug channel on irc.freenode.net.

By becoming a member, we ask that you attend the meetings, be acive on the mailing list or IRC channel, have a desire to learn Linux and spread the word about Linux to others.

I am interested in becoming a member of the UNIX user group and coming to meetings. I am IT recruiter for a national company and I would like to post UNIX and PHP jobs on your website. I am also interested in doing volunteer work.
